Manage cash box concepts ​

Objective ​

Configure the concepts that appear when recording cash box entries and exits. Each concept has a type (entry or exit), a visible name and an icon.

Before starting ​

  • Have CASH_BOX_PARAMETERS enabled for the user.
  • Have clear which concepts are used in the operation (for example: service charge, refund, advance, etc.).

Step by step ​

  1. In the Cash box module, click the gear icon in the header.
  2. The Cash box parameters drawer opens with the list of current concepts.
  3. To add a concept: click Add, enter name, type (Entry/Exit) and icon, and confirm.
  4. To edit a concept: click the pencil icon on the card, adjust and confirm.
  5. To delete a concept: click the trash icon. This action requires confirmation and is not possible if the concept is being used in historical movements.
  6. Click Save to apply the changes.

Expected result ​

  • The new concepts appear in the Concept selector of the Cash box entry and exit dialogs.
  • The drawer shows the date and time of the last update.
  • If there are unsaved changes, the drawer asks for confirmation when closing.

Common errors ​

SituationWhat to do
The gear icon does not appearThe user does not have CASH_BOX_PARAMETERS. Request from administration.
I cannot delete a conceptThe concept is being used in historical movements. Consider deactivating it instead of deleting.
The concept does not appear when recording an entryRefresh the page or switch tab and return.

Suggested permissions ​

  • CASH_BOX_PARAMETERS (action).

Operational recommendations ​

  • Maintain consistent naming for concepts (for example: "Consultation charge", "Study charge", "Advance", "Refund", "Operating expense").
  • Avoid creating duplicate or very similar concepts.
  • Do not delete concepts used historically; deactivate them or reassign them another name.

Relation with other modules ​

  • Resources / Cash box concepts: an independent module that also maintains concepts. Coordinate to avoid duplication.
  • Cash box (Movements): the concepts created here appear as options in the entry and exit dialog.
