Send result to patient
Objective
Share the result of a study (interpretation) with the patient through the configured channels (email or others).
Before starting
- The study must be in Results or Finished status.
- The patient must have a valid email.
Step by step
- Enter the Study capture module.
- Locate the study in the Results or Finished tab.
- Click the study's Send icon.
- The
<app-send-study-dialog>opens with send options. Enter:- Recipient (the patient's email is suggested).
- Subject.
- Optional message.
- Attachments to include (study PDF, interpretation, etc.).
- Confirm with Send.
Expected result
- The system registers the send in the audit log.
- The recipient receives the result PDF.
- The system shows a success message.

Common errors
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| The patient does not have an email | Enter it in their record before sending, or coordinate the send through another channel. |
| The send fails | Check the connection and the email service configuration. |
| The email arrives in spam | Coordinate with IT to adjust SPF/DKIM. |

MEDICAL_CAPTURE: WRITE.
Operational recommendations
- Before sending, verify that the result is complete and well formatted.
- If the patient lost the result, you can resend (a record is kept in the audit log).
Relation with other modules
- Patients: the patient's email is used.
- Notifications: the send can trigger automatic rules.
