Register doctor or resource
Objective
Register a new HCP (doctor, lab technician or resource) with their personal data, type, medical groups and schedule availability.
Before starting
- Have
MEDICAL_STAFF: WRITE. - Have the required HCP types created.
- Have the medical groups to which the HCP will be associated configured.
- Have the HCP's data: name, surname, phone, email, specialty.
Step by step
- Enter the Medical and staff module from the side menu.
- Click New HCP (top toolbar).
- The creation dialog opens. Enter:
- Name and surname.
- Sex (affects the greeting: Dr. or Dra.).
- HCP type (selector; must be registered previously).
- Staff type (Internal or External).
- Phone and email.
- Medical groups in schedule (multiple selector; defines the services that can be scheduled).
- Show in schedule tab (switch
showInAgendaTab). - Custom tab name (optional; uses Dr./Dra. + name by default).
- Confirm with Save.
Expected result
- The HCP is registered and appears in the table.
- If
showInAgendaTabwas activated, it appears as a tab in the Schedule module. - The system shows a success message.

Common errors
| Situation | What to do |

| The HCP does not appear in the schedule | Verify that showInAgendaTab is active and that they have at least one medical group. |
| The HCP type does not appear | Register it from the Staff types and actions module. |
| Mandatory fields are missing | The system highlights the fields in red. |
