Print prescription
Objective
Generate a printable PDF of the prescription, with header, patient data, medications, indications and a verification QR code.
Before starting
- Have the prescription already created or selected.
- Access to the Prescriptions module.
Step by step
- Enter the Prescriptions module.
- Search for the patient and expand their row.
- Locate the prescription to print.
- Click the prescription's Print icon.
- The system generates the PDF using
jspdfandjspdf-autotable. The PDF is downloaded or opens in a new tab, depending on the browser. - From the PDF viewer, send to the printer or save.
Expected result
- The PDF contains:
- Header with the logo and clinic data.
- Patient data (name, medical record, age, sex).
- Date of issue.
- List of medications with presentation, dose, frequency and duration.
- Additional indications.
- Verification QR code.
- Doctor's signature (in the configured format).

Common errors

| The PDF is not generated | Check the connection; retry. |
| Data is missing in the PDF | Review the prescription; some fields require additional information (for example, the logo if it has not been configured). |
| The QR does not appear | Check the prescription configuration; the QR requires patient and prescription information. |

Operational recommendations
- Before printing, verify that the responsible doctor is properly identified in the prescription.
- Print on letterhead paper if the clinic requires it.
Relation with other modules
- Patients: the patient data is included in the PDF.
- Medications: the medications are listed with their presentation and dose.
