Activate or deactivate service
Objective
Change the availability of a service without deleting it. When deactivated, the service stops appearing in the Schedule but keeps its history.
Before starting
- Locate the service in the table.
- Have
SERVICES: WRITE.
Step by step
- Enter the Services module.
- Locate the service.
- In the Status column, click the switch.
- Confirm the change (some systems ask for confirmation).
Expected result
- The service changes its status to active or inactive.
- If deactivated: it stops being available in the Schedule and Cash box, but continues to appear in the list and keeps its history.
- If activated: it is again available in the flows that use it.
Pending: add screenshot of

Common errors
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| The switch does not respond | Verify the SERVICES: WRITE permission. |
| The service still appears in the Schedule | Refresh the page; the system may take a few seconds to invalidate caches. |
| Existing appointments reference the service | Existing appointments are not affected, but new ones cannot be created. |
Suggested permissions
SERVICES: WRITE.
Operational recommendations
- Deactivate instead of deleting. Deactivation preserves the history of charges, appointments and studies.
- If the change is temporary (for example, a season), reactivate when appropriate.
Relation with other modules
- Schedule: an inactive service does not appear in the selector when creating an appointment.
- Cash box: an inactive service does not appear available for new charges.
- Medical studies: studies that already have the service assigned keep the association.
